count-words
Show the number of words in the buffer. | Ctrl-c Ctrl-w |
This command displays the number of words in the current buffer. If
there's a highlighted region, it counts only words within the region.
With a numeric argument, it prompts for a regular expression pattern
and counts instances of that, instead of words.
